Individual Movement Coaching

Kettlebell movement assessment with supportive coaching.png

Understand your body. Know what to work on. Train for your life.

Your sport might be hiking, gardening, lifting at work, playing soccer, or keeping up with your grandchildren. When movement feels harder than it should, a little individual guidance can help you find a clearer starting point.

Work one-to-one with Jason Goumas, PT to explore your goals, understand your movement challenges, and develop practical strategies that fit your day. The aim is to help you move with greater ease and confidence—and know how to keep making progress on your own.

Who Individual Coaching Is For

Adults of any age and young athletes who want focused attention, answers to their own questions, and a plan built around what matters to them. You might want to feel stronger for everyday tasks, improve mobility, return to activities with more confidence, or make sense of an exercise routine that has become too complicated.

What We’ll Work On

  • The movements your life demands: bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, climbing, and changing direction.

  • How your whole body contributes to those movements.

  • Strength and mobility priorities that connect to your goals.

  • Simple ways to practice within your home, work, and recreation.

  • How to notice your response and adjust your practice over time.

Focused Guidance. A Manageable Plan.

We start with a conversation about what you want to do more easily. Then we explore relevant movements together, identify useful priorities, and practice strategies you understand well enough to use independently.

You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what to work on and why. The goal is useful skills and greater capacity for your life, with follow-up based on your needs and progress.

A Few Common Questions

Do I Need to Be Athletic?

Everyone is an athlete—their sport simply looks different. Coaching can focus on everyday life, work, recreation, or traditional sport, at any age.

Will I Get Individualized Guidance?

Yes. The session focuses on your goals, questions, and movement priorities, with practical next steps tailored to you.

How does Coaching differ from Physical Therapy?

Coaching looks at you and your body as a whole with the primary focus of helping you feel and understand your body so it can perform at it best. When you are dealing with a painful area that did not begin with a specific trauma (such as a fall, direct blow, or other sudden injury) the cause is most often rooted in another area which is under-performing and forcing the painful one to compensate by working harder. Coaching is ideally suited to identify and address these imbalances and help bring the body into better unity and harmony. If you are seeking evaluation or treatment for an injury or medical condition, contact Jason before booking so the appropriate service and format can be confirmed.

Can I Start Online?

Yes. Online is an individual guidance option. Ask Jason if you are unsure whether it suits your needs.

Would a Group Be a Better Fit?

For shared learning and a lower per-person cost, explore the online groups and classes. Choose individual coaching when you want focused attention on your own situation.
